New Year’s Eve 2024
How many of you remember Lizzie who used to work for me? (@lizziewildeevans) She has just posted a new year message on social media and I have had her permission to reproduce it here – for I couldn’t have put it better.
Over the next 24 hours, to next few days, we will see no end of people’s achievements and wonderful moments in the last year. Which is lovely, but for some, it will be hard to read, and even harder not to compare yourself to those people, but don’t compare yourself to anyone, you are YOU. You are beautiful, unique and full of potential, your path, is different to everyone else’s, because all of your paths are different. Now, look at my hyacinths, there are 5 of them. They were planted at the same time, in the same soil, in the same container. They have been watered the same amount, and stayed in the same position, throughout. Look how differently they’ve grown! They will all grow, they will all be beautiful, but 3 of them have already found out how to bloom, just like you will. Be gentle to yourself, you will continue to grow and bloom, you don’t need to make comparisons or resolutions, just keep growing, you got this.
